Day-by-Day Itinerary

On arrival in Srinagar you will be greeted by our travel guide cum driver and proceed to your stay in Pahalgam, passing saffron fields and apple orchards along the way. After check-in you may travel to Aru, Betaab Valley and Chandanwari by local taxi (at your own expense). Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

After checkout, transfer to Srinagar. Take an afternoon sightseeing trip to the famous Mughal Gardens, and cap the day with a Shikara ride on Dal Lake and its floating market before returning to the hotel for the night.

A 3-hour drive brings you to the meadows of Gulmarg. Ride the Gulmarg Gondola — one of the highest cable cars in the world — with halts at Kongdoori and Afarwat. The glaciers of Khilanmarg and Afarwat are unforgettable. Retire to a houseboat on Dal Lake for an overnight stay.

Spend the day exploring Sonmarg with a horseback ride to the Thajiwas Glacier and optional rafting on the Sindh River (extra cost). En route to Kargil, visit the Zoji La Pass and pay homage at the Kargil War Memorial before checking in and acclimatising.

Travel across Khardung La (5,359 m), one of the world’s highest motorable passes. Stop at Rinchen Cafe for lunch, then visit the 32-metre Maitreya Buddha at Diskit Monastery. Enjoy a camel safari or ATV ride across the Hunder sand dunes before overnighting at a Nubra campsite.

A scenic ride along the Shyok River to Pangong Lake (14,270 ft). Marvel at the constantly shifting colours of one of the highest saltwater lakes, set against the Himalayas. Enjoy a campfire dinner and camp beside the lake under a sky full of stars.

Journey back to Leh across the magnificent Chang La Pass. Stop at the Chang La Baba temple, see the famous Druk Padma Karpo School (from the film “3 Idiots”), and visit Thiksey Monastery. Check into your Leh hotel for the night.

  • Ladakh is a high-altitude region — please keep a day for acclimatisation and stay hydrated.

  • Entry tickets for stupas, monasteries, monuments, camera charges and permits are not part of the package.
  • Nature's Network Tour and Travels reserves the right to rearrange the itinerary due to weather, political or other conditions without changing the total number of days or compromising any service.
  • Personal expenses and any meals or transfers not mentioned in the itinerary are excluded. Alcoholic, aerated or mineral drinks are not included.
  • Please avoid plastic bags and help maintain the ecological balance of the destinations.
  • Carry dry snacks and a reusable water bottle.
  • If a traveller leaves the trip midway, all expenses from that point are borne by the traveller; no refund applies.
  • Children above 5 years are considered adults. No charge for children below 5 years.
  • Cancellations 30+ days before travel: 25% of total tour cost charged.
  • Cancellations 15–30 days before travel: 50% of total tour cost charged.
  • Cancellations 0–15 days before travel: 100% of total tour cost charged.
  • For cancellations due to weather, union issues, government restrictions or events beyond human control, alternate feasible options will be provided; a cash refund will not be available.
  • 20% advance at the time of booking the holiday package.
  • 80% of the total tour cost to be paid on or before arrival.
